This was one of the first group of students to be visited during Oran's second visit to East Timor. Only a minor seminary, many students hope to be one of its twenty students to study there for a year, if only to improve their education. One suspects many of the students have little intention of becoming priests, especially since they asked to receive letters from Irish girls. They spoke excellent English. Their seminary is in the mountains overlooking Dili and in the area where thousands fled the Indonesian and military assault on their city last September. Those internal refugees often lacked fresh water and many grew sick. From their position they could sit and watch as the military and their militia allies looted and then burned down their homes.
