T'was the night before her eighteenth birthday and she peered
out the castle window staring at her knight in shining armour who was
her one 'true love'. She wondered what would happen in the distant future.
Would she marry the prince who was arranged for her? or would she marry
her one true love?
Just then a knock was heard on her chamber door, "Hello,My
darling, the one I love and shall wed seven nights from now". It
was Perseville, her fiance.
"Oh Hello, my..uh...Perseville. What is it that you want from me,
Antoinette the Princess of Eden?"
"I just came to see my beautiful bride to be".
"Well kindly hurry as I want to be alone" replied Antoinette
in a low civilised tone.
"Okay my love I did not intend to disturb you".
With that Perseville left and once again the princess was
left to wallow in her love for her wonderful and brave Knight Lancelot,
and her hate for her dreaded father. But she must obey her father and
wed to Prince Perseville of Westeden.
Tonight herself and Lancelot who was a knight for the king
were to plan a way for the two of them to wed on this Sabbath Day. She
anxiously awaited his arrival just after the hour of the sun descending.
Finally the time came and she ran to the courtyards to meet her knight
in shining armour. When they saw each other their eyes sparkled and they
greeted each other with a passionate kiss filled with all the love they
had for each other.
"Oh my fair maiden, I came to you with a sweet, sweet
plan that will unite our love forever! Tomorrow a letter will arrive from
your Aunt Liletha inviting you to see her before your wedding. I will
accompany you on your journey and then when we are in Liletha's kingdom
we shall wed".
"Oh my dear Lancelot a plan more fabulous could not
have come from any other". The two parted with a kiss to seal their
love.
That night Antoinette overheard her father talking to the
Chief of the Grounds about their meeting. When the Chief was dismissed
her father created uproar in the castle and forbade Antoinette from leaving
the castle until she was wedded to Perseville.
"Dearest father you cannot force me to wed this pitiful
prince, a man who cannot think or act as he wants but as others want of
him", pleaded Antoinette.
"Enough! You are a faithful daughter and you shall obey me".
With that the argument was closed and Antoinette was left
to drown in her sorrows. Just when she thought she would be destined to
marry Perseville her mother Isabella gave her some hope.
"Oh, my darling daughter, the one who I love more than
all the earth's treasures, I feel must bring you happiness. I have met
with Lancelot and have arranged for him to meet you before sunrise. Then
the two of you shall go to my sisters kingdom. But you may never return."
"Mother, mother, darling mother, thank you.I love you dear and shall
miss you more than life".
"Be gone now before your father arises", replied
her mother locking up her emotions.
With that Antoinette gathered her dearest possessions and hurried to meet
Lancelot. They quickly entered a carriage and left for Aunt Liletha's Kingdom
of Krebson.
"Oh my love, my fair maiden. Now I have you to myself", proclaimed
Lancelot.
"I love you greater than life itself". They were then absorbed
in each others beauty and passionately kissed.
On arrival at the Kingdom they were given a friendly greeting
and were wed on that Sabbath Day.Antoinette's father could no longer trouble
the lovers as they were out of his Kingdom. Soon Antoinette would take
over the Kingdom for her Aunt and the couple will grow from strength to
strength.
