Still
got those record vouchers from Christmas?
Simon Delaney
Bray, Co. Wicklow
Still got those record vouchers
from Christmas? Don’t know what to buy? Well never fear, I’m here to guide
you through the Christmas turkeys and leave you with the true crackers!
The
Beatles
First up is '1' by The Beatles.
This album contains twenty-seven of the fab fours greatest No.1 singles
and is truly a musical masterpiece! It blends up-tempo foot stompers like
'Ticket To Ride’ and 'Day Tripper' with soulful tunes like 'Yesterday'
and 'Let It Be'. There isn’t a bad song on the album and it is a must
in the collection of any music fan. Personal favourites on the album include
'Help!', 'She Loves You' and 'A hard days Night'. Believe me, you won’t
be able to get the lyrics out of your head! By the way, don’t be put off
buying this album even though your Dad likes the Beatles! It’s worth it.
Robbie
Williams
Second on this tour of music's
latest releases is 'Sing When You're Winning'. This album features his
hit single 'Rock D.J.' and the fantastic 'Kids' with the pint-sized princess
Kyle Minouge. Other great songs on the album include the melodious 'Better
Man' and the awe inspiring 'Road To Mandalay', with its sensational guitar
tune and infectious lyrics, you won't be able to stop singing it! Also
included is his latest offering 'Supreme'. With its blissful mix of pop,
funk and good old rock & roll, Robbie really should be singing because
this album is a real winner.
Blur
Finally on this tour of the
wonder wall that is music’s finest is 'The Best Of' by the boys from Blur.
This album contains eighteen of their finest musical masterpieces. Spanning
from the last decade this album contains such classics as 'There's No
Other Way', 'Charmless Man' & 'Country House', not to mention the
fantastic 'Girls And Boys' and 'Parklife'. It also contains their newest
single 'Music Is My Radar' and (in my opinion the best song on the album)
the amazing 'Song 2'. This is a truly marvellous greatest hits album,
if only they could be this good!
